Protein Bean Crackers for Passover

Insanely tasty crackers, high in protein, gluten-free, vegan and kosher for Passover, made from cooked beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 heaping cup cooked beans (I used red beans)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 heaping tbsp chia seeds
  • Salt, black pepper and paprika
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) (I always use the fan/turbo setting).
  2. 2Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until you get a slightly sticky, uniform texture.
  3. 3Spread all the dough onto a sheet of baking paper.
  4. 4Place another sheet of baking paper on top (spritz it with a little olive oil to prevent sticking).
  5. 5Roll out with a rolling pin.
  6. 6Cut with a pizza cutter to your desired cracker size.
  7. 7Bake for about 15 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
  8. 8Important: wait a few minutes for the crackers to cool before eating.
