Chickpea Protein Chocolate Balls

Protein-rich chocolate balls built on cooked chickpeas, almond flour, and peanut butter, coated in quality dark chocolate. The perfect treat after a strength workout.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups cooked chickpeas (after soaking at least 2 hours)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup quality cocoa
  • 1/4 cup protein powder (I use bean protein)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup 100% natural date syrup (silan), depending on how sweet you like it
  • 1/4 cup 100% natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup milk (I used soy milk)
  • Quality dark chocolate, at least 70% cocoa solids, melted, for coating

Instructions

  1. 1Blend all the ingredients except the chocolate in a good blender until you get a smooth batter.
  2. 2Form into balls or any shape you like.
  3. 3Place in the fridge to firm up.
  4. 4Meanwhile, melt the chocolate.
  5. 5Dip the protein bites in the melted chocolate and return to the fridge to set.
