Vegan Almond Chocolate Cake

A sweet, comforting chocolate cake built on almond flour, applesauce and chocolate chips. Gluten-free, low in carbs, high in protein and vegan.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup red lentil flour or green buckwheat flour
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup date sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup natural maple syrup
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup yogurt (preferably high-protein Pro yogurt)
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. 2Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and pour into a baking pan.
  3. 3Lower the temperature to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
