Post-Workout Protein Chocolate Cake

A protein-rich chocolate cake that's gluten-free, egg-free and dairy-free. Sweet enough to satisfy a craving without weighing you down.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups fine gluten-free oats
  • 1/4 cup whole tahini
  • 3 heaping tablespoons applesauce
  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 1/4 cup 100% natural maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon raw tahini to drizzle on top (optional)
  • Pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. 2In a bowl, mix all the ingredients until you get a slightly runny batter.
  3. 3Pour the batter into a baking pan.
  4. 4If you like, drizzle a tablespoon of raw tahini on top and add some pecans.
  5. 5Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C (350°F) and it's ready.
