Chickpea Chocolate Protein Cake

A vegan, high-protein chocolate cake built on a base of cooked chickpeas, baked in the microwave in just 10 minutes. Gluten-free, egg-free, and dairy-free.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas (if using canned chickpeas, make sure there is no salt in the ingredients)
  • 1 cup milk (I used oat milk)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/3 cup 100% natural silan (date syrup)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • A little coconut oil for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. 1Place the chia seeds and flax seeds in a powerful blender and grind them into a powder.
  2. 2Add all the remaining ingredients and blend until you get a cake-like batter texture.
  3. 3Choose a microwave-safe pan and grease it with coconut oil.
  4. 4Pour the batter into the pan and microwave for exactly 10 minutes.
